Mini Briefing

State Universities Annuitants Association
January 27, 2010

_______________________________________________________________

As we close in on the General Primary Election, it is important to note that YES your vote does count!  How you vote in the General Primary Election does impact who survives for the General Election in November.

You still have an opportunity for early voting or a choice to wait until Tuesday, February 2nd.

According to the State Board of Elections (via the State House News), there are over 7.5 million people registered to vote in Illinois.  Of those, 155,000 people were signed up to vote early or absentee for this year’s primaries, but the response is low.

Let’s see if the additional information provided below will pull more to the polls for Tuesday. While much of this information is available at www.SUAA.org, it is possible that another format will entice everyone to cast their votes.
